What Does a Product Line Designer Do?

A Product Line Designer is responsible for thinking up product ideas, virturally creating the product line. This job is creative, fun, and altogether powerful. It is the Product Line Designer who is drawing up ideas and consulting with the marketing crew. The goal of the Product Line Designer is to create products that they believe their customers would like to buy. For example if this year, orange was an 'out' color and pink was 'in'. The Product line designer is challenged with creating items that are or include the color pink. If they created something orange, it probably wouldn't sell as well and the money spent making is is lost. Therefore, it is in the best interests of the Product Line Designer to create products that are in the best interests of the consumers. This is a challenge I welcome with open arms. Please cruise the pages of my site and perhaps you may want to become a Product Line Designer as well.
